SOARPSO's guidelines on psoriasis

Guidelines for the systemic treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis in adult patient

SOARPSO LOGOS

The Sociedad Argentina de Psoriasis, or SOARPSO, has published new guidelines for the systemic treatment of adult patients with psoriasis.

They were written following GRADE methodology.

Those guidelines are available in English or Spanish.

A bit of History

This medical organization initially called SOLAPSO (Latin American Psoriasis Society), was founded in November 2008 by a group of Argentine dermatologists. Promptly similar societies, who had been developed in other Latin American countries were included.
Ten years later, due to different legal policies, SOLAPSO had to restrain themselves to the Argentine Society, so called SOARPSO (Argentine Psoriasis Society).

However, close contact has always been maintained with the other original societies.
SOARPSO’s main aims are:

· To encourage medical advance and psoriasis research.

· To foster the academic education of medical doctors who will specialize in psoriasis, and to generate the necessary resources for this.

· To support scientific psoriasis publications.

· To encourage interdisciplinary work.

· To organize national and international academic events: congresses, forum, meet the experts programs, workshops, etc.
